What a Weekend!?!

This past weekend was off to a busy start.

Cherry Creek HS had their first unified basketball game of the season on Friday before their varsity boys team played. All the students with disabilities were allowed to participate, and I've never seen the stands so full!! The students were getting cheered on by everyone and the smiles on their faces were priceless.

Saturday morning I was up early to head with Janelle to the stadium. We helped her girls get ready for competition, braiding and curling their hair, putting on makeup, and going over their routine a few final times. Then we headed to the Coliseum to watch them compete at All Star State Championship competition. Travis Prior, who used to be our spirit director at CU was directing the competition and it was good catching up with him. I saw Liz and Ashley there too, they were coaching a new all star team as well!  The Broncos Sparkle team competed their pom routine and then also competed their hip hop routine for the first time! They did their personal best, and got second place in both.

I also heard some bad news this weekend :(

While playing basketball, Kyle fell (got pushed!) and really hurt his knee. He went and saw an urgent care doctor who thinks he may have torn his MCL, ACL, and PCL. He got an MRI and we will hear the results on Monday. Keep your fingers crossed that he doesn't need surgery! Can you tell which on is injured in the picture below??

A Week With Cody

This week has been a very busy one! Instead of taking time off on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, I decided to watch a very special one-year-old. Cody is so adorable, and very independent. We played with all his toys and went on long walks with his favorite dog friend, Magruff. (Although I think Magruff was walking both of us instead!) Cody even has a very special fire truck toy that literally never stops ringing! I ended up having to search for a screw driving to take the battery before both of us went insane! Needless to say, it was a very fun week for both of us, and I loved getting to know the little guy!!!

Meet Cody

Meet Magruff

Cody and Magruff are BEST FRIENDS FOR LIFE :)

This was Cody's favorite place to hang out. He loved sitting in the window watching all the cars go by. Plus, every time he saw another dog he would say, "daw," and would turn and look for Magruff.
So cute.

*This weekend is going to get busy to get ready for some future posts!

The People Of...

So, I was at the bank the other day and saw a very interesting sight. A woman was talking to the bank teller with her leg stretched up and bent on the counter! Who does that?! Even though Kyle was so embarrassed, I pretended to text message and took an awesome picture...

Weird right?
Now I know how the "people of walmart" websites are so successful! People do weird things! However, when I started thinking about it, I remembered all the times I was with Kyle and he did weird things inside of stores. I think he's just so bored while I'm shopping that he has to lighten the mood. Here are two pics I've captured of him in the moment.

Kyle at a surf shop in Hawaii.
He found a hat that snapped around your neck.
Need I say more?

Kyle at Walmart.
He found a ski mask and hat and apparently wanted to look incognito...

Anyway, had to share my amazing find of the "Woman of Wells Fargo."

And in honor of watching the first gossip girl since before xmas...
You know you love me.

Welcome to the World of Blogging!

I've never been much for blogging, however with some big moving plans, I had to find a way to stay connected! I'm going to miss all my Colorado friends, but I'll always have my many memories :)

Quick update on what's going on in my life...

Kyle and I moved!!

The first week of January was a nightmare. Our Budget Truck had a headlight out and a flat tire. The 25 hour drive was less than desirable. Then after a sleepless night in our new place with nothing but the two days clothes we had packed for the journey - things started looking up! My cousin Ryan and his girlfriend Brittany came and helped us unpack. It went fast and we were able to enjoy a yummy lunch at Macaroni Grill afterward. Then on Saturday we drove to the beautiful city of Los Banos ("the bathroom" was truly a great name for this amazing city) and we ate at a fun French restaurant called "Wool Growers." I'm already so happy to be closer to family!

and after a sad farewell to Kyle...

I moved in with the newlyweds - Janelle and Justin!!

We have already had so much fun together (they may not think it's been so fun though!). We've cleaned out their master closet, giving Justin his first taste at walk in closet space. We've donated old clothing, went to "Bring It On, The Musical," and now we are watching our dear friend Allyson's dog, Luna! Needless to say, it is a full house here in Stapleton!!!

My many part-time jobs are still going strong...

I'm watching Morgan (she's 8 months now, I can't believe it!), working at Cherry Creek Dance, assistant coaching for Cherry Creek High School, and finishing up with Broncos. (Even pinteresting and helping Janelle's Sparkle Team!!!)

Here are some highlights:

Moran learned to clap! (...and has the cutest leg warmers!)

Look at this cute face!!!
Morgan took professional pics! Isn't she a cutie pie in her tutu?!?!

Don't Forget We're Watching Luna!!!

Here are all three dogs looking more possessed than ever!

Here is my favorite pic of Luna and myself, we are cute.

Don't forget about our amazing finish to the Bronco's Season...

A pic captured for Becky being chosen to go to pro-bowl at our game against Kansas City...my last :(

The picture that will make me famous...haha

Here are two amazing pics from our moving experience from hell!

Can you believe there was a line to get into Costco?!?

Our amazing first night at our new apartment. One blanket + our clothing = awesome.

 Our PINTEREST Projects!!!

Our New Family Tree - I made this for Ed for a late xmas gift

The best wreath ever! Janelle and I made matching ones.
I can't wait to hang it at my new place!

And last but not least. The best video of all. Allyson and I went and ate one million appetizers, had margaritas, and still were able to help out our dear friend Janelle to figure out a bangin' hip hop move for her sparkle team.

Happy Viewing!
